A Bible Answer

Know For Sure

One Important Question

Do you know where you will go when you die?

This brief conversation will show you, from the King James Bible, how you can know for sure.

The Problem

Every person has sinned.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Romans 3:23 KJV

Sin separates us from a holy God. None of us can earn Heaven by being religious, doing good works, or trying harder.

The Consequence

Sin has a penalty.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 KJV

Death means more than the grave. It is eternal separation from God. But the same verse also reveals hope: eternal life is God’s gift.

God’s Love

Jesus Christ paid the price for you.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 KJV

Jesus, the sinless Son of God, died on the cross, was buried, and rose again. He took the punishment you deserved.

The Only Way

Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 14:6 KJV

You cannot save yourself. You must turn from trusting yourself and place your faith completely in Jesus Christ.

Your Response

Believe in your heart and call upon the Lord.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13 KJV
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9 KJV

Salvation is not repeating special words. It is sincerely trusting Jesus Christ alone to forgive your sins and save your never-dying soul.

A Sincere Decision

Will you trust Jesus Christ right now?

You may speak to Him in your own words. Admit that you are a sinner, believe that Jesus died and rose again, and ask Him to save you.

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV
Praise the Lord

I trusted Christ. What now?

If you have truly trusted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, salvation is the beginning of a new life in Christ.
